Overview
Direct scheduled and charter flights link Cork to destinations in Ireland, the UK and continental Europe. Regular ferries link Cork with the UK and France. You can get to most places in Ireland from Cork by bus, and there are regular train services to Dublin, Limerick, Tralee and Killarney.
Cork Airport
If you are collecting passengers from Cork Airport please ensure you know the flight number of your family, friends or colleagues and the airport they are flying from.
The meeting point is located opposite the Airport information Desk in the Arrivals Hall. People meeting arriving passengers must park in the short-term multi-storey car park. Please do not arrange to be picked up outside the terminal building.
Due to the volume of traffic at Cork Airport, vehicles are not permitted to park outside the terminal building. Attended vehicles will be moved on and the policy of clamping unattended vehicles is strictly enforced by Airport Police. Cars MUST NOT be left unattended at any time.
Brittany Ferries - Cork / Roscoff Fance
The ferry terminal is at Ringaskiddy, about 15 minutes by car southeast from the city centre along the N28. Bus Eireann runs a fairly frequent daily service to the terminal; the journey takes 45 minutes. Regular ferries link Cork with the UK and France.

Fastnet Line’s MV Julia has set sail on its
inaugural trip from Swansea to Cork tonight
(10th March 2010), commencing its
car/passenger and freight service across the
Irish Sea.Having completed its dry-docking
process successfully and achieved relevant
certification and testing of safety systems,
the ship has met the strict requirements
demanded by the International Safety
Management Code (ISM).
The 1,860 passenger, car and commercial
freight-carrying vessel, which has captured
the hearts and imagination of the Irish and
Welsh nations, has received booking revenues
in excess of €1m to date.
Bus
The bus station (tel: 021-508188) is on the
corner of Merchant's Quay and Parnell Place.
You can get to almost anywhere in Ireland
from Cork: Dublin (4.5hrs), Killarney
(2hrs), Waterford (2hrs) and Wexford (4hrs).
Train
Kent railway station (tel: 021-506766) is
across the river on Glanmire Rd Lower.
There's a direct train connection to Dublin
(2.5hrs) and indirect routes to other towns
such as Killarney (2hrs) and Waterford (3-5
hrs). An hourly service south to Cobh stops
at Fota, enabling you to take in the
wildlife park and heritage centre on a round
trip.
